Ooo Fabric

So I've been getting a little bored with my knitting and crocheting on account of them both being very tedious; so I've started tinkering with my mothers sewing machine.

Not very successful for the first try (I broke 2 needles). For my first project I figured I could put two square together and make a tote bag. Did not come out as expected. Unfortunately, I don't have an image of my first attempt of my sewing project; my aunt took it.

As for all the fabric I've been using; I've been pilfering from my mothers stash. (not like she's going to use them.)

Now which of the two fabrics would you consider manly
